Executive Assistant

The Office of Data and Innovation is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide support to our ODI Director. Your role will complement and support our ODI Director for our team’s overarching goals and objectives. 

Location: This position requires on-site attendance at our Sacramento HQ office Monday through Friday.

Annual salary: $68,208– $85,368 based on experience and qualifications

What you’ll do

  • Maintain calendar, coordinate scheduling, filter and manage commitments.
  • Provide administrative support and attend applicable meetings.
  • Communicate and collaborate with agencies, groups and individuals related to departmental activities.
  • Assist with strategic priorities.
  • Look for opportunities to streamline efforts and improve processes.
  • Arrange in-state and out-of-state travel.
  • Process business and travel expense reports on behalf of ODI Director.

Desirable qualifications

  • Prior experience working with executive-level staff.
  • Knowledgeable of computer technology, including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams) Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Calendar, Sheets, Slides) Slack, Zoom, and familiarity with Concur or other expense reporting software.
  • Experience interacting with agencies, groups, and individuals at all levels with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal direction, take initiative, and follow through.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and prioritize conflicting demands.
  • Ability to handle frequent interruptions or changes in priorities.
