Done/Doing is a recap of what Team Alpha has done this week and what we have in our sprint plan for the week ahead. This post is the first in what will be a weekly series delivered every Friday.


  • Delivered the first iteration of the Alpha at
  • Pushed site live on state’s Azure infrastructure
  • Created a user survey
  • Identified initial set of user needs including: finding vital records, applying for Unemployment Insurance, Paid Family Leave, and Disability Insurance (more to come on user needs in our blog and on social next week)
  • Delivered first user story on minimum wage, including functional prototypes and content mockups
  • Established design principles
  • Developed starter web design system
  • Picked a default font


  • Finalizing product framework
  • Continuing discovery and research on initial user needs
  • Creating additional content types prototypes
  • Adding new widgets to design pattern library
  • Starting qualitative research around user needs
