If you need to serve court papers to the California Office of Data and Innovation (ODI), you must do so in person.
Go to 401 I Street, Suite 200, Sacramento, California 95814, between 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. The first-floor security guards will contact ODI staff to accept service of all court papers.
We can only accept service of process for ODI and its officers named in their official capacity. Serve documents or subpoenas for the “State of California” to the Office of the Attorney General. Their Sacramento office is at 1300 I Street.
All court papers for ODI must be personally served. We have not agreed to:
- Electronic service of court papers in civil cases per the Rules of Court and other applicable laws
- Service of court papers in civil cases by fax
