As the IT Contract and Procurement Specialist, you will manage all IT contracts and procurement. You will be responsible for managing ODI’s full-service IT contracting program inclusive of contract management and contract budgeting within ODI.
Location: This position provides telework opportunities in accordance with agency telework policies. ODI is currently operating in a hybrid work environment with staff reporting to the office 2 days a week to either Sacramento HQ or our Oakland Hub.
Annual Salary: $78,156 – $126,444

What you’ll do
- Manage IT procurement & contract intake, solicitation, and execution duties for ODI.
- Manage a full-service contracting program which includes contract management and budgeting.
- Serve as ODI’s subject matter expert on IT services.
- Perform technical and analytical work.
- Act in a lead capacity.

- Knowledge of the State Contract Manual Volumes 1 and 2, State Administrative Manual, Government Code, Public Contract Code, and other governing laws/rules/regulations specific to state contracts
- Knowledge of FI$Cal as a state buyer
- Experience with executing IT service agreements of varying complexities and disciplines using solicitation methods such as RFP, RFO, RFQ, IFB, RFP, and NCB
- Experience with executing cloud service procurements
- Experience with navigating user instructions for Statewide Contracts (LPA, SLP, NASPO, etc.)
- Experience with training program staff on Contract Management & procurement protocols/principles
- Experience with representing state departments in public with a tactful and professional demeanor
- Experience with contract & procurement analysis
- Strong writing and analytical skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated public speaking experience as well as customer engagement
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task with changing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines in a fast paced environment
